Staveley and Barrow Hill is a parish of the Society under the Extended Episcopal Care of Jonathan, Bishop of Ebbsfleet, serving the Communities of Staveley, Barrow Hill, Hollingwood, Inkersall, Poolsbrook, Mastin Moor and Woodthorpe.

St John's Staveley is the historic mother church of the area, dating back more than 1,000 years.  It is a large building, full of historic and artistic interest, forming a magnificent setting for Christian worship.  Our Sunday Mass is enriched with vestments, ceremonial, incense and music.  We are committed to Christian mission and outreach, and are particularly active in our work with schools and young people.

In St John's Church, Sung Mass on Sundays is at 9.30. Sung Evensong on Sundays is at 5 pm (said in August).

We have the status of a Team Ministry.  In some parishes or groups of parishes, the Team may consist of several priests; we initially had three when the Team was set up, but now we have only two; our names are below.

Team Vicar: Fr Adrian Arnold
